Mixtures are substances containing two or more substances either element or compounds or both in any proportion. Substances which form mixture are called components .In a mixture the components don’t loose their identity

While in a compound the constituent elements loose their original identity

The components of a mixture can easily be separated but same is not possible with compounds

The constituents of a compound are combined in a fixed proportion by mass but in a mixture the components are mixed in any proportion

Hope this helped u :-)
