Conduction:- In conduction, heat is transferred from one body to another which are in contact, directly or indirectly, without the movement of the atoms or the body itself. Material medium is needed.

Convection: - In convection, heat energy is transferred from one body to another, by the movement of the particles or atoms of the body. Material medium is required.

Radiation: - In radiation, transfer of heat energy occurs with or without the presence of any material medium. It doesn't need material medium.
