Difference between constitutional and conformational isomer

Constitutional isomers are compounds that have the same molecular formula and different connectivity. To determine whether two molecules are constitutional isomers, just count the number of each atom in both molecules and see how the atoms are arranged.

WHEREAS

Conformational isomerism is a form of stereoisomerism in which the isomers can be interconverted exclusively by rotations about formally single bonds (refer to figure on single bond rotation). Such isomers are generally referred to as conformational isomers or conformers and, specifically, as 'rotamers'

Answer:

Explanation:

Constitutional (structural) isomers are compounds with the same molecular formula but with a different structure. ... The stereoisomers can be configurational (geometric, optical) and conformational isomers. The arrangement of atoms is different in the constitutional isomers and the same in stereoisomers
