 contiguous :-next to or touching another, usually similar, thingeg:- The two states are contiguous with/to each other, but the laws are quite different.
 noncontiguous:- not touching
eg:- 
The whorls are described as non-contiguous, when they do not touch each other; continuous, in the opposite case.
