Cyclonic rainfall is caused by cyclonicactivity and it occurs along the fronts of the cyclone while Orographic rainfalloccurs when moist air is formed to rise over a mountain range. Orographic rainfall - This type of rainfall is caused by the cooling off the moisture laden air as it rises over a high relief barrier.
