Conventional religion is one which believed in rituals, sacrifices and superstitions. All prayers and spiritual acts revolves round the superstitious beliefs. Such religion creates a new social order and norms which forms the basis of worship. Hinduism forms a part of conventional religion where apart from idol worship lots of rituals and sacrifices are associated.

Devotional religion does not believe in practising rituals or sacrifices. The path of salvation lies in meditation. For them training of mind and body through practises like yogasana, meditation, breathing exercises becomes necessary to purify soul and achieve moksha.

Both the religion follow a different path to salvation where conventional religion believes in rituals and devotional religion believes in meditation.
