Difference between corona and annular eclipse

Answer: With an annular eclipse, the apparent size of the moon is smaller than the sun. So it is not blocked as in a total eclipse. Light reduction is less and the corona never becomes visible. A hybrid eclipse is one that is annular from some parts of the Earth and total from others.
