The pandemic by coronavirus is the defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest global humanitarian challenge the world has faced since World War 2.The disease caused by the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China. Its scientic name is COVID-19 . ‘CO’ stands for corona, ‘VI’ for virus, and ‘D’ for disease.

Formerly, this disease was referred to as ‘2019 novel coronavirus’ .

The COVID-19 virus is a new virus linked to the same family of viruses as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and some types of common cold.The virus is transmitted through direct contact with respiratory droplets of an infected person, generated through coughing and sneezing and touching surfaces contaminated with the virus. The COVID-19 virus may survive on surfaces for several hours, but simple disinfectants can kill it.Symptoms can include fever, cough and shortness of breath. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia or breathing difficulties. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. This is why testing is required to confirm if someone has COVID-19. It’s important to remember that key prevention measures are the same – frequent hand washing, and respiratory hygiene by covering  our cough or sneeze with a flexed mask, elbow or tissue, then should throw away the tissue into a closed bin. Under these circumstances, it had infected the whole world. This COVID-19 pandemic spread rapidly in our nation. Total 29 lakh people had infected and 55,794 people had died in our country till now. In this situation Indian government took many necessary awareness step like “Lockdown”,“Protect Your Self ”. The world waits for a vaccine to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. So many vaccine are in trial which is discovered by whole worlds with India. It gives us hope to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.
