Difference between corrosion and rancididty

Well corrosion occurs on metals but rancidity occurs on food stuffs made up of oils and fats this is the major difference Hope this helped u ☺

corrosion is eating up of metals due to atmospheric conditions like humidity, some gases etc. corrosion takes place in the case of metals. rancidity is oxidation of FATS AND OILS which produces pungent smell in case of food items rancidity is the valid word for spoilt.
