Difference between cottage and consumers industry

They both produce items for consumption....the basic difference between them is that cottage industry are small in size while consumer industrys are big in size...cottage industrys dose not have employees they usually have one or two it mostly happens in their home itself...while consumer industrys have a large labour base.....cottage industrys usually are based on traditional methods... consumer industrys are not like that they produce goods in a very large scale only....their aim is to produced large goods with less cost (cost-effective)...
