covalent bonds are formed by sharering of electron of two same elements or defferent element by completing there octet execept h2 duplet formation......

1.In covalent bond two atoms donate an equal number of electrons where as in coordinate bond only one atoms donate a pair of electron.

2.In Covalent bond there should be unpaired electrons where as in coordinate bond there should be no unpaired electrons.

3.Covalent bond can be polar and non-polar where as coordinate bond are polar bonds.

4.In covalent bond empty orbitals are not required where as in coordinate bond empty orbitals should ne present in the electron deficient species.
