@--- Covalent Bond--- The bond formed due to the mutual sharing of the electrons between the two of the combining atoms is called as the covalent bond.
The molecule formed due to such bonds are called as Covalent molecues and compound are termed as the covalent compounds.
Foe examples---- Methane, Carbontetrachloride, etc.
@--- Coordinate or Dative bond--- The bond formed due to the sharing of electrons in which all the electrons are entirely provided by one of the combining atoms is called as Coordinate bond or Dative bond. The molecules formed due to this bond is called as Dative molecule and compound formed are termed as dative compounds.
For example--- Ammonium ions, Hydronium ions.
