crocodile can be distinguished by the shape of their snout and jaws
crocodile teeth line the entire jawline and are visible even when their mouth are closed
crocodile inhabit salt water environment
crocodile have olive green colour


alligator teeth cluster in front of jaw. teeth are not visible when mouth are closed
alligator inhabit fresh water environment
alligator are brownish in colour


both crocodile and alligator are carnivore and belongs to class reptilia

crocodile have V shaped snout whereas alligator have U shaped snout

both are cold blooded animals
