is that crocodile is any of the predatory amphibious reptiles of the family crocodylidae; (loosely) a crocodilian, any species of the order crocodilia, which also includes the alligators, caimans and gavials while lizard is any reptile of the order squamata, usually having four legs, external ear openings, movable eyelids and a long slender body and tail.

Crocodiles :-

have powerful jaws with many conical teeth and short legs with clawed webbed toes. They share a unique body form that allows the eyes, ears, and nostrils to be above the water surface while most of the animal is hidden below. The tail is long and massive, and the skin is thick and plated.

Lizard :-

A lizard is a type of reptile that has scales for skin, a long body, a pointy tail, and usually four legs. Most lizards live in deserts or jungles, however the word lizard comes from the Latin lacertus, which means “sea fish” — perhaps because they look like a monster that crawled out of the ocean.
