- Amorphous solid :- they have not sharp melting point.

- Crystalline solid :- they possess a definite heat of fusion
- Amorphous solid :- they do not possess a definite heat of fusion.

- Crystalline solid :- they are an isotropic in nature
- Amorphous solid :- these are also isotropic in nature
