Bennettitales-

These are fossilized gymnosperms. They have earlier been treated under Cycadophyta because they had close resemblance with cycads.

Cycadales-

They consisted of 11 living genres and have more than 100 species which are distributed in the warm and tropical climatic regions. They are even present today, unlike the Bennettitales which are the fossilized version of gymnosperms. The Cycadales first appeared in the Upper Triassic Times.
