Whereas nucleoplasm is the part of protoplasm just around the nucleus.

♦ Cytoplasm has only one layered covering called plasma membrane.

Whereas, nucleoplasm has double layered covering called the nuclear envelope.

♦ Cytoplasm is the site of various metabolic activities and functions.

Whereas, nucleoplasm is the site for controlling cytoplasmic structure and function and storing genetic materials.
