The difference between AC and DClies in the direction in which the electrons flow. In DC, the electrons flow steadily in a single direction, or "forward." In AC, electrons keep switching directions, sometimes going "forward" and then going "backward."

AC current :- A current ,which changes direction after equal intervals of time is called an alternating current..

DC current:-current which does not change its direction with time ..
