It is definitely a very interesting question to solve and do some brainstorming.

A deadbeat galvanometer has as low a mass as possible in the moving coil. It is used to measure current. They have low mass so they respond more quickly.

A Ballistic galvanometer consists of an artificially increased mass or a combination of a moving coil and a mechanical integrator. eg. The analog VU meter which is found on traditional audio consoles. The mass of the needle integrates the signal which makes it respond more slowly.
