1): people should elect thier leader by themselves.
2): people have the right to vote.
3): all the fundamental rights are implemented.
in dictatorship
1): people don't elect thier ruler.
2): None can participate in elections.
3): All the fundamental rights are not implemented here.

i) In a democracy, people are free to criticize the ruler whereas in Dictatorship, no is is allowed to criticize or question the dictator.
ii) There is election held in a fixed tenure of time and it is upon people to decide that to whom will they choose as their leader.
But in dictatorship, the people have no role to play in selecting the dictator. He / she has seized power and remains as long as he/she wishes to be.
iii) In democracy, the ruler has limited power and works according to the wish of the public for their welfare but in dictatorship, the dictator works for his own welfare and doesn't follow any rules. The are no limits of restrictions over his power.
