difference between density mass and volume

Mass and volume are different.
Mass is the amount of matter contained in the object whereas, volume is the amount of space occupied by the object.

For example, take 2kg of cotton and iron. The space occupied by the cotton will be more than the iron piece.
So we can see that mass and volume are two different quantities.

 

Density may be defined as number of particles present in 1cubic unit. For example the density of H2SO4 is 1.85 gm/ml.

The standard unit of the mass in the international system (SI) is kilogram(KG). A meterial's dencity is defined as its mass per unit volume. mass is a quantity that gives you an idea of how much the substance are in that object.

Volume is the amount of space occupied.
