1. DIAMAGNETIC substance :
These substance which are weakly repelled by external magnetic field are called diamagnetic .
Example -Tio2 ,Nacl etc
2. PARAMAGNETIC substance -
These substance which are attracted by the external magnetic field is called paramagnetic .
Example - O2 , cu2+ ,fe3+ , etc
3. FERROMAGNETIC substance -
These substance which show permanent magnetism even in the absence of the magnetic field are called ferromagnetic .
Example - Fe , Ni , etc

The key difference between diamagnetic, paramagnetic and ferromagnetic materials is that diamagnetic materials are not attracted to an external magnetic field, and paramagnetic materials are attracted to an external magnetic field whereas ferromagnetic materials are strongly attracted to an external magnetic field.
