Wave:--
⭕A wave is a disturbance in a medium that carries energy without a net movement of particles.
⏩Longitudinal waves - Movement of the particles are parallel to the motion of the energy.
Example:- Sound wave
⏩ Transverse waves - movement of the particles are at right angles (perpendicular) to the motion of the energy.
⏩These types vary in wavelength, and include radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma rays.

There are two types of mechanical waves:
Transverse Wave.
Longitudinal Wave.
A transverse wave is a moving wave that consists of oscillations occurring perpendicular to the direction of energy transfer. If a transverse wave is moving in the positive x-direction, its oscillations are in up and down directions that lie in the y–z plane
Longitudinal waves are waves in which the displacement of the medium is in the same direction as, or the opposite direction to, the direction of propagation of the wave.
