Answer:Direct elections - these are the elections in which the common people elect there representative directly like in lok sabha election. It is only we who elect our representative directly by a single transferable vote .

Indirect elections - these are the elections in which the common people does not take part directly but the elected representatives take part . Eg - rajya sabha election where our elected representatives from lok sabha caste there vote to choose representative for rajya sabha .
