Direct value of biodiversity is that every living organism has an important role for the sustainability of nature and ecosystem.

Indirect value of biodiversity is every living organism indirectly depends upon other organism and also help other organism or living thing for it's survival and sustainibility in ecosystem.

Explanation:

Direct value of biodiversity is that every living organism has an important role for the sustainability of nature and ecosystem. They all have an important role which makes them necessary in this planet. Deficiency of any one species effect other living species.

This we have seen in food chain. Every species is important for the survival of other living organism or bieng.

Indirect value of biodiversity is every living organism indirectly depends upon other organism and also help other organism or living thing for it's survival and sustainibility in ecosystem.

According to food chain,  small animals like rates and herbivorous and omnivorous animals eat grass, treas plant, basically terrestrial life, for their survival. These herbivorous and omnivorous animals are eaten by carnivorous and omnivorous animals for their survival. And at last, these animals dies and act as a humus after decomposition for the plants.

Hence, cycle works.

Direct use of biodiversity includes the forestry and fishing, while indirect use includes the interdependence of the organism on each other for food.

Explanation:

  • Biodiversity is the variability of plant and animal life that is with respect to the genetic, species, and ecosystem diversity. Direct use can be seen in hunting patterns of animals and consumption of spices and herbs etc.
  • The indirect values that we dwarves are ecosystem services as pollinator, habitat for other species, and food chains. Green plants provide oxygen to the environment, that purifies the air and water. Hence give ecological services.
