♠️ Basically, colloid is a heterogeneous mixture in which one substance is dispersed in a dispersion medium.

♠️ Dispersed phase is the phase which is dispersed through medium. In colloid dispersed phase mat consist of particles of protein or synthetic polymer or an aggregate of many atoms, ions or molecules.

♠️ Whereas, dispersion medium is a medium in which colloidal particles are dispersed.

♠️ Colloidal solution = Dispersed phase + Dispersion medium.

♠️For example:- Gold sol, here gold is dispersed phase and water is dispersion medium.
