when cuso4 is dissolved in water,no chemical reaction takes place.since no new substance is getting formed.thus it is a physical change:
the dissolution of zn granules in dil.HCL is a chemical change because zn reacts with hcl to form zinc chloride and hydrogen gas is librated;
the reactiontake place in there is:
zn+2Hcl=>zncl2+H2
