- distance is length of the actual path travelled by an object in motion while going from one point to another and where' as displacement is the minimum distance between the starting and finishing point
- distance is a Magnitude is greater than all equal to displacement and displacement magnitude is less than all equal to distance
- if displacement of Object is zero actual distance covered by object may not zero and if actual distance covered by object is zero they displacement also zero
- distance is a scalar quantity and displacement is a vector quantity
