Majority carriers are those which are present in a material in high concentration and take part in conduction of electric current. In a P type semiconductor material the holes are the majority carriers and in a N type semiconductor material the electrons are the majority carriers.
Minority carriers are those which are present in a material in low concentration and the current due to these carriers is always negligible. The minority carriers in P type material are the electrons and the minority carriers in N type material are the holes.
