Answer:

1 - Inkjet printers typically spray liquid ink on paper through microscopic nozzles. And dot matrix printers have pins that push an ink-soaked ribbon against the paper, which creates images or prints.

2 - In all inkjets produce higher quality printouts, while dot matrix printers deliver benefits still necessary in some offices. Both printing technologies differ in resolution, print speed, noise, paper handling and cost

3 - While the fastest dot matrix printers can approach the speed of inkjet printers, inkjets are generally faster when printing pages of text. Even low-cost inkjets can achieve speeds of 20 pages per minute with draft-quality black and white output. Dot matrix printers are rated on the basis of characters per second, with the fastest ones approaching the speed of a lower-cost inkjet

4 - Most inkjets are relatively quiet and work well in an office setting. Dot matrix printers, on the other hand, are very noisy because they involve having thousands of pins slam into a ribbon and into the paper. While dot matrix printers work well in noisy atmospheres, offices that use them have to place them in special sound-deadening enclosures.

Dot Matrix printers are most prototype and slow type of printers. They spread the ink dot by a needle head striking on the paper. they use Ribbon type ink system But, inkjet printers use cartridge-dye type ink system. They heat the ink and spray it through tiny nozzles on the paper. And, Laser printers are the fastest among all type of printers and they use liquid ink-system. Laser printers have laser nozzle in system to print the content on a paper and are fastest. Dot-matrix printers are the noisiest and slowest. Inkjet printers are noisy but on the other hand laser printers are the least noisy. Dot Matrix printers produce dot type image or picture quality. Inkjet printers produce standard quality images oe texts. Laser printers produce the highest quality of images. Also a major difference between the type of printers is that Dot Matrix printers are the cheapest, inkjet printers being at economical prices and Laser printers being the costliest but fastest.

  • Dot Matrix printers find use in ticketing systems.
  • inkjet printers find used in home and office printing.
  • Laser printers are used in printing photos at Studios and fast printing services.
