East flowing peninsular rivers -
* These rivers drain in bay of Bengal.
* These rivers have developed tributary system.
* These rivers make deltas in their mouth.
* Example : The Mahanadi, The Godavari, The Kaveri. etc.
West flowing peninsular rivers -
* These rivers drain in Arabian sea.
* These rivers are devoid of well developed tributary system.
* These rivers enter the sea through eastuaries.
* Example : The Narmada, The Tapi etc.
