Eastern Ghats:-Eastern Ghats marks the eastern edge of the Deccan plateau.
2).They are discontinuous and irregular and have been dissected by the river draining into the Bay of Bengal.
3).They lie along the eastern coast along the Bay if Bengal.
3). They are higher in the north and the height increases towards the north.
4) Average height is 600m.

Western Ghats:-1)Western Ghats mark the edge of Deccan plateau.
2)They are continuous and can only be crossed through passes only e. g. Pal ghats, Short ghats, etc.
3)They lie parallel to the western coast along the Arabian sea.
4) They are higher on south and the height increases towards the south.
5) Average height is between 900m to 1600m.
6) The higher peak is Also Mudi with height of 2,695m above sea level...
