Explanation:

Function: The Motor converts Electrical Energy into Mechanical Energy. But Generator converts Mechanical Energy to Electrical Energy

Current: In a motor the current is to be supplied to the armature winding. Where as In the generator current is produced in the armature winding.

Electricity: Motor uses electricity. But Motor generates Electricity.

Principle: Electric motor is based on the principle that current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field experience a force. But Generator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.  

Rule Followed: Motor follows Fleming's Left Hand Rule. But Generator follows Fleming's Right Hand Rule.
