Electromagnetic waves : These waves have electric and magnetic field associated with them.

Matter waves have no electric and magnetic field associated with them . These waves are associated with material particles , they don't exist without material particles.

Answer :

Electromagnetic waves -

  • The electronic and magnetic fields are associated with these waves.
  • These both fields are found to be perpendicular to each other and also to the direction of propagation.
  • They can pass through vaccuum.
  • They do not require a medium to travel.
  • They are emitted.
  • Their speed can be same as speed of light.
  • Their wavelength can be found out by : c/v.

Matter waves -

  • These waves are not associated with any fields.
  • They require medium to travel.
  • They can not pass through vaccuum.
  • They are not emitted.
  • They travel in low speeds.
  • Wavelength of these waves can be found by : h/mv.
