Empty set is empty which means there is "no element" in it.Also known as null set. While, singleton set is not empty. It has "only one element " in it.Also known as unit set.
e.g.empty set={ },also denoted by phi.
singleton set={x},where x belongs to N,W,Q,Z or R.
