ENDANGERED SPECIES : Endangered species are those species of animals and plants whose number are so small that they are at risk of extinction. These species of animals and plants are threatened with extinction mostly on account of destruction of the habitats of hunting.The examples of such species are black buck, crocodile, Indian wild ass, Indian rhino, etc .

EXTINCT SPECIES :Species which are no longer in existence are known as extinct species. Such species may be extinct from a local area, region, country, continent or the whole Earth. Extinct species are completely wipe out from our planet. These Species are completely wiped out due to human activities on natural calamities.Example of such species are Dodo, dinosaur , Tasmanian wolf,lion tailed Macaque.
