Extinct Species :- A species which is no longer present in its original range or as a distinct species any longer is called extinct species. It was previously living and existent but has now vanished from Earth. Eg : Dinosaurs, Dodo.

Endemic species :- Species which are only found in some particular areas usually isolated by natural or geographical barriers are called endemic species. Eg : Andaman Wild pig, Mithun in Arunachal Pradesh.
