Difference between enzyme and hormone on the basis of the chemical nature.
Can anyone help?
I guess one is alkaline and the other is acidic ( but i dont remember which one is alkaline and acidic)

Hormones:

  1. Hormones are intercellular chemical messengers which travel through the body to reach to target organ or cell and  initiate a process. They are produced by endocrine glands.  
  2. They act indirectly.  
  3. For example: Insulin cause cells to convert glucose into glycogen.

Enzyme:

  1. They act as a biological catalyst to speed up the reactions in the cells.
  2. Their action is direct.
  3. For example: Salivary amylase, an enzyme present in saliva converts starch into sugars
