Equity and equality are two strategies we can use in an effort to produce fairness. Equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful. Equality is treating everyone the same. Equality aims to promote fairness, but it can only work if everyone starts from the same place and needs the same help.

difference between equity and equality is:

1. equity: the equity of being fair and impartial

the value of the shares issued by a company

eg - equity are used instead of owners equity . example of owners equity account is Mary Smith ( where Mary Smith is the owner of the sole proprietorship)

2. equality: the situation in which everyone has the same rights and advantages

eg- racial equality between different race people
