the process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents is called erosion .
Deposition is the processes where material being transported by a river is deposited.

Erosion_It is the process by which the natural agents of erosion take away particles of silt/soil from one place...in short the soil gets eroded away.
Deposition is the process in which the eroded material after being carried away by the agents get deposited at a place..it gets collected at other place
