Answer:

Both chrysophytes and euglenoids are classes of the Kingdom Protista.

Chrysophytes (Planktons)

Euglenoids

They include diatoms and golden algae (desmids)

Examples: Euglena, Paranema, Astasia, etc

They are found in fresh water as well as marine environments

Majority of them are fresh-water organisms and are found in stagnant water.

In the presence of sunlight, they behave like autotrophs (perform photosynthesis); in the absence of sunlight, they behave like heterotrophs, predating on smaller organisms.

· Most of them are photosynthetic. They are advanced than blue green algae as have well developed nucleus and chlorophyll located in chloroplasts.

They have cell wall made of cellulose with large quantities of silica. · They have protein-rich layer called pellicle, instead of cell wall, which makes their body flexible.
