In boiling, the motion of particles is increased and this force separates the particles apart from each other.

In evaporation the movement of the particles is not the same. Few particles move at slower speed and few particles move at an increased speed

The main difference b/w evaporation and boiling are
1.evaporation takes place at all temp. , whereas boiling needs the liquids boiling point.
2.evaporation takes place from the surface, whereas the entire liquid boils.
3.evaporation can take place with the internal energy of the liquid, whereas boiling requires an external source of energy
4.evaporation produces cooling whereas boiling doesn't.
