Exothermic Reaction: The chemical Reaction in which formation of products is accompanied by evolution of heat are known as Exothermic Reaction.

Example:- Reaction -->Products+Heat

Endothermic Reaction: The chemical Reaction in which formation of products is accompanied by the absorption of heat are known as Endothermic Reaction

Example:- Reactants--->Products -Heat

The word Exo means outside and Thermic means Heat.

Those reactions which heat is evolved are known as exothermic reactions.

Endothermic reactions:-

The word Endo means inside and Thermic means heat.

Those reactions in which heat is absorbed are known as Endothermic reactions.
