Based on the thermodynamic properties the difference between intensive and extensive properties are :-

=>Intensive properties :

*Doesn't depend upon the quantity of matter.

*These depend upon the nature of the matter.

*Density, pressure, surface tension, specific heat capacity, temperature, viscosity, refractive index, melting and boiling point comes under the intensive properties.

=>Extensive properties :-

*Depends upon the quantity of the matter.

*The magnitude changes with the amount of change in matter.

*Volume, enthalpy, entropy, free energy, internal energy, heat capacity, mass and work comes under extensive properties.

Also intensive property can be represented as extensive /extensive.

Example :Density=mass/volume
