difference between factory and commercial establishment

Both are Acts to regulate conditions of service of workers engaged. While the Factories Act is applicable to establishments wherein a manufacturing activity is carried out the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act is applicable to establishments which do not fall under the definition of factory, mine or plantations.
The differences between a factory and a commercial establishment can be explained as:
i. All the factories are commercial establishment but all the commercial establishments are not factories.
ii. Factory is set up for the production of a product. It's aim for establishing it is only to manufacture something.
iii. But commercial establishment can be a shop too or a house for rent also. It's aim is to do commerce from the establishment. It can be done in many forms.
iv. For example, a place where cycles are manufactured are called factories whereas the place i.e. a shop where they are sold are called commercial establishments.
