Manure is an organic compound (rich in nutrients) obtained by the decomposition of plant and animal waste by microbes.

Fertilizers are human-made chemical substance which are rich in one or more nutrients like nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). Fertilizers are produced in factories.

[3] These do not add humus to the soil.

[4] They are costly.

[5] Examples are Urea and potash.
