Day flowering plants are normally pollinated by insects or animals that are active during the day e.g. bees, butterflies and birds.
Night flowering plants are pollinated by insects or animals that are active at night such as bats and moths.
Night flowering plants are normally very heavily scented to attract insects where as day flowering plants use both sent and visual tools to attract pollinators.
