difference between food chain and food web

A food chain is just a one way process It proceeds from one organism to another.
That means one organism can eat only one other organism .
E.g. Grass>>>grasshopper >>> frog>>>bird


A food web is more or less has the same mechanism but it includes variety of organisms.
One organism can eat any other organism.

A food chain consists of many food chain . A food chain only follows just one path as animals find food e.g. A hawk eats a snake, which has eaten a frog, which has eaten a grasshopper, which has eaten grass .

A food web shows the many different animals are connected
