Elements contain only one type of atom. Each atom has the same atomic number.
Eg:Hydrogen (H), Oxygen (O), Sodium (Na), Chlorine (Cl), Carbon (C), Iron (Fe), copper (Cu), silver (Ag), gold (Au)
