A fraction is the ratio of two integers where the denominator is not zero. And also the integers can be anything.
A decimal number is in base ten,it is the shorthand for the sum of digits multiplied by powers of ten.For example the no.
123.456 is an abbreviation for
1×100+2×10+3×1+4×1/10+5×1/100+6×1/1000
It could also be expressed in the fractional form
123456/1000

Hope this helps
